Double layer roll forming machine

This double layer roll forming machine is innovative 2-in-one integrated roof panel cold forming equipment. Two independent sets of forming roller systems are installed inside one machine frame, which can produce two different kinds of metal roof tiles separately, normally matching trapezoidal industrial roof sheet and antique glazed decorative tile as mainstream combination.
Compared with purchasing two separate single-layer roll forming machines, this dual-layer integrated model effectively cuts total equipment investment and greatly reduces workshop floor occupation, perfect for small and medium building material processing factories with mixed order demands of industrial and villa roof tiles. It processes 0.3–0.8mm color coated steel coils and galvanized strips, realizing uncoiling → continuous roll forming → fixed-length hydraulic cutting automatic production for both two profiles.

The whole machine base frame adopts heavy thickened channel steel integral welding structure, processed by high-temperature stress relief annealing after welding to eliminate internal welding stress. The rigid integrated frame guarantees stable vibration-free operation when either upper layer or lower layer is running at high speed, maintaining consistent forming precision for both tile profiles.
Two groups of independent forming roller stations are arranged vertically up and down inside the frame. All forming rollers are precision turned solid 45# carbon steel with multi-layer surface quenched hard chrome plating, high hardness, wear resistance and anti-rust performance, scratch-free forming for thin printed color steel sheets. Each roller group adopts progressive bending design to finish corresponding tile wave and edge bending in one feeding stroke, tiny forming spring-back ensures neat tile surface and tight interlock effect. We support custom matching of two different roof tile profiles according to local market hot-selling styles.

Two sets of separate variable frequency synchronous chain transmission systems are equipped for upper and lower layers, each layer’s running speed adjustable independently without mutual interference. Users can run single layer only or switch production between two profiles according to order requirements, forming speed adjustable from 7–22 m/min steplessly.
A shared heavy-duty bilateral mechanical deviation correction device is installed at the public feeding inlet to guide steel strips to run along central track and avoid offset raw material waste.
Two independent vertical hydraulic cutting units are configured at the tail for upper and lower layers, each equipped with thickened wear-resistant alloy cutting blades suitable for thin & medium gauge color steel sheets. Cut ends are flat without burr, collapse or deformation, finished tile fixed-length tolerance controlled within ±1mm. Two small independent hydraulic stations provide stable cutting pressure without oil leakage during long-term circulation work.

One integrated large touch screen PLC control cabinet centrally manages the double-layer machine, pre-storing multiple groups of two different roof tile parameter recipes. Users can one-click switch between single-layer operation mode and two-profile production specifications without repeated parameter resetting. The control system realizes automatic length counting, fixed-length shutdown, real-time speed display and fault self-diagnosis functions. Only one ordinary operator can complete full machine production monitoring work, greatly lowering labor operation threshold and labor cost. Overload protection and emergency stop switch are equipped to reduce production safety risks.

This double layer roll forming machine can be matched with hydraulic coil reel uncoiler to form fully automatic continuous feeding production line. We support customizing two matching tile profiles, rib height, effective covering width and raw material thickness range according to customer’s local market demand.
Each dual-layer integrated roll former undergoes a 72-hour non-stop full-load coil endurance test before delivery. Our engineers repeatedly calibrate forming wave radian, interlocking tightness and cutting length tolerance of both upper and lower layers to eliminate all hidden quality troubles before shipment. Complete spare forming rollers, cutting blades, hydraulic sealing parts and bilingual English-Chinese operation & maintenance manuals are provided as standard free accessories.
