Compared with conventional wallboard framing, the rigid archway housing provides superior torsional resistance, effectively damping harmonic vibrations and eliminating profile twist during high-tonnage multi-pass edge folding. The cut-off mechanism employs custom-contoured double-acting hydraulic shearing dies manufactured from high-grade Cr12MoV die steel, vacuum-quenched to HRC 60-62. The hydraulic cutting system accurately tracks the complex stepped cross-section, ensuring vertical, distortion-free cuts that eliminate secondary edge grinding and streamline robotic welding of the beam end-connectors (column brackets). Powered by a heavy-duty hydraulic station with independent oil cooling and high-response proportional valves, the cutting stroke achieves rapid cycle times with clean cut ends and minimal noise.
The entire step beam roll forming line is managed by a centralized industrial PLC control system coupled with an operator-friendly color touchscreen HMI. Production parameters—including batch quantities, cut-to-length dimensions, and operating speed—can be programmed effortlessly with dual-encoder closed-loop tracking, achieving length tolerances within ±1.0 mm per standard 4-meter beam.
