Product Overview

This highway guardrail machine is heavy-duty customized cold roll forming equipment specially used for manufacturing W-beam highway crash barrier guardrails. The finished W-shaped guardrail has strong anti-collision performance, widely installed on national highways, provincial roads, mountain roads and urban viaducts to buffer vehicle impact and reduce traffic accident losses.
 
The whole line integrates hydraulic uncoiling, multi-pass continuous forming, mid-line automatic punching and fixed-length hydraulic cutting, realizing one-stop automatic processing of hot-dip galvanized steel strips with thickness 2.0–3.5mm. No secondary manual stamping or cutting is needed, greatly improving production efficiency for road safety component factories.

Frame & Forming Roller & Punching Structure

The main machine base frame is integrally welded by ultra-thick heavy H-beam and channel steel, with high-temperature stress relief annealing after welding to eliminate welding deformation stress. The rigid frame can bear long-time heavy-load forming without shaking or torsion.
 
All forming rollers are integrally forged 45# carbon steel with multi-layer surface quenched hard chrome plating, high hardness, wear resistance and impact resistance, no roller surface indentation during processing thick galvanized steel. A large number of progressive bending roller stations complete standard W-beam multi-angle curve forming in one feeding stroke, with stable forming size and neat beam surface without distortion.
 
An independent hydraulic punching station is arranged in the middle of the roller group, equipped with alloy punching dies to stamp standard bolt fixing holes on the guardrail web synchronously during forming, punching position accurate without burr.

Transmission, Feeding & Heavy Hydraulic Cutting

Dual large torque variable frequency synchronous heavy chain transmission is adopted to match thick steel strip processing demand, forming speed 4–12 m/min adjustable. The running speed automatically follows the punching and cutting cycle to avoid strip pulling or stacking.
 
Thickened bilateral mechanical deviation correction device is set at the feeding inlet to guide wide heavy steel coil to run along the central track and prevent offset waste.
 
The tail is equipped with heavy-duty double-cylinder hydraulic cutting unit, matched with thick alloy quenched cutting blades suitable for 2.0–3.5mm thick galvanized sheets. The cut end is flat without collapse deformation, finished guardrail length tolerance ≤±0.8mm. Independent large hydraulic station provides stable high cutting pressure with circulating heat dissipation system to avoid oil temperature overheating during long continuous work.

PLC Centralized Automatic Control System

Large touch screen integrated PLC control cabinet manages the whole guardrail production line, pre-storing multiple sets of W-beam guardrail size parameter recipes, supporting one-click switching of different standard guardrail specifications. The control system realizes automatic length counting, fixed-length stop, punching cycle adjustment, fault self-diagnosis and real-time speed display functions. Only one operator can monitor full-line production to cut labor cost. Overload, strip breakage and emergency stop protection functions are equipped to lower equipment failure risks.

Matching & After-sales Service

This highway guardrail machine can be perfectly matched with heavy 5T/8T hydraulic coil uncoiler to form a complete automatic production line. We support customizing W beam width, rib height, punching hole position and raw material thickness range according to local highway construction standards.
 
Each guardrail forming machine undergoes 72-hour full-thickness steel coil continuous linkage endurance test before delivery. Engineers repeatedly calibrate forming W-beam radian, punching hole position and cutting length tolerance to eliminate all hidden quality troubles before shipment. Complete spare forming rollers, punching dies, cutting blades, hydraulic sealing parts and bilingual English-Chinese operation & maintenance manuals are provided as standard free accessories.
 
We offer a 2-year full machine comprehensive warranty covering all mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components. The delivery cycle is 50–60 days after receiving the customer’s advance deposit. Custom three-phase industrial voltage (380V/415V/220V) is supported to adapt to power supply standards of different countries.
