Product Overview
This hydraulic coil reel, also known as hydraulic uncoiler, is a supporting feeding rack for all kinds of metal cold roll forming machines, widely matched with trapezoidal tile machines, glazed tile machines, C/Z purlin machines, gutter forming machines and floor deck equipment. It is used to load, expand and release color steel coils, galvanized steel coils and aluminum coils, realizing automatic continuous feeding and greatly improving the automation and production efficiency of the whole forming line.
Different from small manual mechanical uncoilers, this heavy-duty hydraulic expansion type adopts independent hydraulic station to drive four-jaw inner support expansion, with large bearing capacity, stable strip tension and safer operation. It can handle steel coils with inner diameter 480–520mm, outer diameter up to 1600mm, and customizable load capacity of 3 tons, 5 tons, 8 tons and 10 tons according to customers’ coil weight.
Frame & Hydraulic Expansion Structure
The main base frame is integrally welded by extra-thick heavy-duty channel steel and square tubes. After welding, the frame undergoes high-temperature stress relief annealing to completely eliminate internal welding stress, so the frame will not bend or deform under long-term heavy coil load.
The expansion mandrel is made of thick seamless steel pipe with four groups of evenly distributed supporting jaws. Driven by built-in hydraulic cylinders, the inner diameter can be stretched and contracted automatically for convenient coil loading and fixing, avoiding coil loose deviation during high-speed feeding. The surface of support jaws is treated with wear-resistant anti-slip coating to increase friction and prevent metal strip sliding.
An independent hydraulic power unit is equipped outside the reel, with stable pressure output, low-noise hydraulic pump and circulating heat dissipation system to avoid oil temperature overheating during long continuous working. All hydraulic pipelines adopt high-pressure resistant anti-aging rubber hoses with zero leakage under long-term circulating pressure.
Driving & Electrical Control System
The driving part adopts variable frequency motor matched with heavy-duty reduction box for low-speed stable operation. The rotating speed can follow the host forming speed synchronously to keep constant strip tension, preventing thin color steel sheets from over-tension stretching or loose winding mess.
A complete independent electrical control cabinet is equipped with start, stop, forward and reverse buttons, emergency stop switch and speed adjustment knob. The control system supports linkage signal connection with the main forming machine to realize synchronous automatic start-stop feeding without separate manual operation. It also has overload protection and coil exhaustion alarm functions to reduce equipment failure risks.
Auxiliary Safety Design
Reliable coil blocking baffles are installed on both sides of the mandrel to prevent left-right offset of steel coils during rotation. An optional hydraulic coil pressing arm can be added to compress the outer ring of steel coils, effectively solving the spring-back loose problem of thin color coated coils and avoiding safety accidents caused by flying materials.
The whole machine surface adopts multi-layer anti-rust paint spraying process with strong corrosion resistance, suitable for harsh long-term workshop production environment. All electrical components are international standard brand with stable performance and long service life.
Matching & After-sales Service
This hydraulic coil reel can be perfectly matched with all single-layer, double-layer, three-layer roof tile roll forming machines, C/Z purlin machines, gutter forming machines and other customized special profile cold forming equipment. We support customizing load tonnage, coil width and hydraulic stroke according to customer’s raw material parameters.
Each hydraulic uncoiler will go through a 72-hour non-stop full-load endurance test with galvanized coils before leaving the factory. Engineers repeatedly calibrate mandrel expansion flexibility, running stability and hydraulic sealing performance to eliminate all hidden quality troubles before delivery. Complete spare forming rollers, punching dies, hydraulic sealing rings, cutting blades and bilingual English-Chinese machine operation & maintenance manuals are provided as standard free accessories.
We offer a 2-year full machine warranty covering all mechanical and electrical components. The delivery cycle is 50–60 days after receiving the customer’s advance deposit. Custom three-phase industrial voltage (380V/415V/220V) is supported to adapt to power supply standards of different countries. Professional remote video installation, commissioning and operation guidance service is available for all overseas buyers.
