Hydraulic Coil Reel
Product Overview
This hydraulic coil reel, also known as hydraulic uncoiler, belongs to auxiliary feeding rack supporting all kinds of roll forming machines, including trapezoidal tile machines, glazed tile machines, C/Z purlin machines, floor deck roll formers and other metal cold forming equipment. It is specially used to load, expand and release color steel coils, galvanized steel coils and metal strip raw materials, realizing automatic continuous feeding and greatly improving the whole production line’s automation level and working efficiency.
Compared with manual mechanical uncoilers, hydraulic expansion type adopts independent hydraulic station to drive four-jaw inner support expansion, with larger bearing capacity, stable tension and safer operation. It can handle steel coils with inner diameter 480–520mm, outer diameter up to 1600mm, and matching load capacity from 3 tons, 5 tons to 8 tons and 10 tons according to customers’ coil weight demands.
Frame & Hydraulic Expansion Structure
The main base frame is integrally welded by thickened heavy-duty channel steel and square tubes, with sufficient wall thickness to bear heavy coil load without bending or deformation during long-time operation. After welding, the frame goes through stress relief annealing to eliminate welding internal stress, ensuring stable overall structure.
The expansion mandrel is made of thick seamless steel pipe with four groups of supporting jaws distributed evenly. Driven by built-in hydraulic cylinder, the inner diameter can be stretched and contracted automatically, which is convenient for coil loading and fixing, avoiding coil loose deviation during high-speed feeding. The surface of support jaws is treated with wear-resistant anti-slip coating to increase friction and prevent steel strip sliding.
Independent hydraulic power unit is equipped outside the reel, with stable pressure output, low noise hydraulic pump and heat dissipation system to avoid oil temperature overheating during continuous working. All hydraulic pipelines adopt high-pressure resistant rubber hoses with anti-aging treatment, no oil leakage under long-term circulation pressure.
Driving & Control System
The main driving part adopts variable frequency motor matched with heavy-duty reduction gearbox to realize adjustable rotating speed, synchronous linkage with the host roll forming machine. The rotation speed automatically follows the host’s forming speed to keep constant strip tension, preventing over-tension stretching thin color steel sheets or loose winding mess.
A complete electrical control cabinet is equipped with start, stop, forward and reverse buttons, emergency stop switch and speed adjustment knob. The control system supports linkage signal connection with the main forming machine, realizing automatic start-stop feeding synchronously without separate manual operation. It also has overload protection and coil exhaustion alarm functions to reduce failure risks.
Auxiliary Safety Design
Equipped with reliable coil blocking baffle on both sides of the mandrel to prevent steel coil left-right offset during rotation. Optional coil pressing arm can be added to suppress the outer ring of the steel coil, effectively solving the spring-back loose problem of thin color coated coils and avoiding material flying out to cause safety accidents.
The whole machine surface adopts multi-layer anti-rust paint spraying process, strong corrosion resistance, suitable for long-term workshop harsh production environment. All electrical components are international standard brand with stable performance and long service life.
Matching & After-sales
This hydraulic coil reel can be perfectly matched with all single-layer, double-layer roof tile roll forming machines, C/Z purlin machines, floor deck forming machines and other customized profile cold forming equipment. We support customizing load capacity, coil width and hydraulic stroke according to customer’s raw material parameters.
Each hydraulic uncoiler will undergo no-load linkage test and hydraulic pressure holding test before delivery to check expansion flexibility, rotating stability and hydraulic sealing performance to eliminate hidden troubles. Complete spare hydraulic seals, control buttons, filter elements and bilingual operation & maintenance manuals are provided as standard accessories.
We offer a 2-year full machine warranty covering hydraulic system, motor and electrical parts. Delivery time is 50–60 days after deposit receipt. Custom three-phase industrial voltage is available to fit different national power standards.
